It is important to first review the patient before deciding the cost of the procedure. A doctor needs to understand what are the requirements of the patient, what density he desires, whether he understands the procedures, and what he believes is going to be the result. It is important  to understand that hair transplant is a team effort, and 4-5 members of the team are continuously working for 6-8 hours. We charge about 35-38,000 INR for about 1000-1200 follicular units, similarly for 1500 units, the cost is about 42-45,000. for 2000 units, we charge 65,000, for 2500, we charge 85,000, and for 3000 we charge 1,10,000.

These charges include surgery, operation theatre charges, medicines, lunch and refreshements, and post surgery follow up calls and consultations also.

Dr Amit Gupta is a Plastic Surgeon from Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi, who has specialized in the fields of Minimally Invasive Cosmetic Surgery, Microfollicular Hair Transplant, and Lasers.
